I would like to ask: How to create Window in roof (not dormer) just window in roof. Similar to adding windows in wall.
I`ve seen this solution for a window dormer, but this is not what I'm looking for. Does it existing any easy way to add (roof window) into the roof in AECOsim? If yes can you share how to do this please?
*easy way I mean similar to, how easy is adding window/door in the wall. I`am not looking to do this in 3d or any other around time consuming method because I know them. I`am looking for simple answer for this specific question.

Go to Modify and look for "cut solids by curve" is in the same place that is "draw on solid", draw a shape of the cut that you want first, then click in the roof, then click in the shape, you figure out the rest, I hope that work for you.

Thanks. Unfortunately this is not what I`am asking about. I thought I was enough clear when I said:

You shows a 3D method to make a "hole" in solid etc. My question was: "Does it existing any easy way to add a roof window. Not a "hole" in solid. As I said on my original question: I`m not't looking for a solution in "3D modelling method" for this.
To be more clear: there is a tool, for placing windows in "AECOsim Building Designer" in Architectural Design task-> "Place Window". This works perfect in the walls, question is why this not works with the roof?

The roof tool produces objects that are differently defined to walls, they lack the capability to accommodate window insertion, so the previous suggestion to use "cut solids by curve" is correct.
