One of the other reasons I migrated over to OBD from my Select Series 6 is that I was having recurring issues with the pop up context menu. Basically it can go blank at any time and I have to exit the application. It is now happeneing with OBD. Running a twin screen system but not two application windows. You can see the tall blank menu in the screenshot below.
Anyone have the same issue and a resolution?
Hello Keith,
Can you please elaborate about what context menu you are trying to refer? Is it the property dialog?
Regards, Alifur
It is the right click context menu which brings up tools. It greys out and nothing will reactivate it apart from an application restart.
Hi Marc, old thread here but just installed latest Connect edition of OBD on my PC, multi monitor set up and context menu blanked out again. was given an answer by tech support previously saying the old V8i select versions couldn't handle HD monitors but I felt that was a bit of a lazy answer at the time. Are you aware of this issue with any other installs? Very frustrating that it happens on laptop and PC so I am going for software issue.
Hi Keith,
As you have just installed OBD I'm assuming that you have a new set of preferences so while I am not going to suggest deleting them, you could try adjusting the preferences as previously discussed.
These kind of display errors are generally related to graphics, I'd recommend at least checking the BIOS to see if Intel graphics are enabled. I also notice reading back through the thread a mention of HDMI and VGA. Could you give us more detail about the connections and resolutions of the displays in use? Which version of Windows are you running?
Regards
Marc
Hi Marc, this is the 2nd PC this is happening to, it was my work laptop at home that it started with.
Here is a screen grab from the work PC. HP monitor is main monitor but even if I replace this with another smaller monitor it still happens
Thanks
Keith
