context meu blanking out

Question

One of the other reasons I migrated over to OBD from my Select Series 6 is that I was having recurring issues with the pop up context menu. Basically it can go blank at any time and I have to exit the application. It is now happeneing with OBD. Running a twin screen system but not two application windows. You can see the tall blank menu in the screenshot below. 
 Anyone have the same issue and a resolution?

 The selection fix didn&#8217;t end up working for mine or my colleagues system, so after some extensive testing I have at least discovered the cause if
 not the fix. The context menu can be customised as you know, and was very handy for adding common tools right next to where you were working on screen. It is this customising that causes the fault. I have gone back to the as shipped menu and so far it has
 not reoccurred. 
 
 I will do some further checking on the menu as it does the same on my Select version and see if there is a dodgy tool.

Hi Keith, 
 This may be unrelated, but just in case... Does your laptop have both onboard graphics and an AMD or Nvidia discrete graphics card? If so you may be running in hybrid mode, where the laptop is attempting to save power by using the Intel graphics when possible. In this scenario onboard graphics can be disabled in BIOS so only the discrete graphics card is used.

Hello keith, 
 Please close all the OBD sessions and then can you please go to this location (C:\Users\(User_name)\AppData\Local\Bentley\OpenBuildingsDesigner) and rename the prefs folder. After that, open a new OBD and then try to check whether this issue still persist or not.
