Hello,
Im writting to see if anyone could help me out.
At the moment i have a project done in Openroads which im trying to export as an IFC file for further coordination, since the IFC exporter in Openroads isnt creating an IFC file for anything other than corridors even though there might be other modelled info, im using OpenBuildings for that purpose.
I've defined custom parameters that i need in my file through the Openroads asset manager, once that is done i create an "i" file that i import into OpenBuildings, i do so because its the only way that im able to maintain these parameters, once in OpenBuildings I create the IFC file, but this IFC is missing these parameters that i had previously created in OpenRoads and that I could read in my imported "I" file in OpenBuildings.
How can i get these parameters exported within my IFC file?
Hi there
You have posted your question under the German forum. It may be more visible under the general forum.
The OpenBuildings Datagroup system (the system for creating and editing information properties) is integrated with IFC export and the IFC schema.
Other data schema's are not, therefore you will not find any information properties on your exported objects unless its from the OpenBuildings Datagroup Schema.
To add OpenBuildings Datagroup information properties to objects you can use the Attach tool - From the ribbon, Building Design > Data/Reporting > Attach.
Being a road project you will probably need to create your own custom Catalog Types and Items first info first to attach to your objects.
As a starting point, have a look at this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AewP3XpmqEk
