when you create a dynamic view of pipe of ductwork with insulation on, the insulation is dominant and the pipe or duct is shown hidden
i have tried to turn the insulation level to transparent but it doesnt seem to work
i also tried to make a display rule, but that also didnt work
i am using OBD Connect update 5
Hi Steve
I want the pipe or duct to display with solid lines, currently it’s displaying as broken lines because itts hidden by the insulation. I have tried making the insulation transparent but that doesn’t do it

Hi David,
Have you checked the Mechanical rules, Check the DoubleLine symbolgy settings, that is causing the display behavior of drawing. See image below
Let us know if you are looking for the similar result shown in above image.

i tried this before and it didnt change the display, today i realised it might be somthing to so with config variables, i added the route to the mechanical rules, and went back and applied the mechanical seed, added the new rule, the view changed but it removed the insulation.
the default insulation is level 2, but that level cannot be selected in the rules editor.
having to amend globally all the insulation is going to be a problem as i have no time to do it.
this might have to waite now
David,
Is it possible to send me the problem DGN and rul file please ?, so that I can check the issue in detail.
