Whenever i export a COBie spreadsheet, the "System" tab is always empty. How do i link the components to a system?
Hi Yehia,Thanks for raising this question. We'll revert you as soon as possible.

Sayanti ,
Do we have an update on this issue?
Hi Yehia,
Do you have MEP system or electrical circuit in your OBD dgn model? , I expect that MEP system will be exported to IfcSystem and go to COBie System tab.
If you can share DGN and other details, I'll figure it out.

Sandeep
How do i create an MEP/electrical system?
An MEP system would be created using either the Mechanical or Electrical tools; e.g., duct, pipe, lighting, etc.. These components are "system" based vs. individual components such as doors, windows, casework, etc..
Do i have to define the system somewhere? I have multiple ducts, pipes and conduits modeled using AECOsim tools but nothing shows in the system tab when i export the COBie spreadsheet.

MEP system required system ID generated for all source [Ex. AHU ] and terminator device [Ex. Diffusers], once it is setup for your HVAC system , it will be exported as IFCSystem and populate COBIe system tab as shown below.
To generate system ID there is a tool called 'System ID' in Route Assist ribbon group.
HTH,
Thank you Sandeep. I followed the steps. However; I keep getting "n/a" any idea?
Yehia , Please check out this video, you will get desired result.
Best Regards,
Thank yo Sandeep, However i am using AECOsim Building Designer V8i. The tool is different.
Thanks for your response, although even tool is different I believe the functionality is same for V8i and CONNECT. I hope you are able to achieve the desired result.
I would encourage you to shift on OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition to take the benefit of Comprehensive modeling environment of our Building product.
Thanks,
