I have created 3D cells also upgraded old 3D cells and I have the same result
The upgraded members ( PS members ) are disappearing when the 3D cell is placed in a 3D environment. as shown in the picture below.
I can put a fence around the cells in question and in the print preview will show all the members
When I drop the cell, all of the members appear. As shown in the picture below.
It seems to be only effecting the PS members, all legacy members are fine. Has anyone run into the same problem and found the solution ?
Some of our 3D cells are all upgraded members, so when they are placed it is very hard finding something for cant see. Just like dark matter.
Hi Ben,
We have known issue that those cells get placed at origin, Can you please try placing as 'shared cell' ?, Placing those graphic cells as shared cells are getting placed at desired location.

Yes I noticed after posting the original message, I zoomed out and the PS members were down at the 0,0,0 point in my 3D model, but when I tried to zoom in on those members they disappeared.
I have tried placing them as a shared cell and I can see them, but when I drop them, they gone crazy, as members are turned around, cut short, the holes that were in them arent in the correct position.
I have recreated a simple 3D cell as a parametric type, that is all good, we just don't want to recreate all of our 3D cells.
As I mentioned , the defect is already filed and scheduled to fix in next release of OBD.
PS members are 106 type elements and behaves well if we create parametric cell instead of Graphic cell.
meanwhile If you want to convert all of those cells from Graphic to Parametric you can do that easily.
1. open cel library for editing.
2. Open Explorer-> Model -> Select all graphic type cells
3. Right click and Properties.
4. Change Cell Type to Parametric , and all those Graphic type cells will change to Parametric in a single operation.
