Just wondering if anyone has been using the new Curtain Wall tool for celings? Using the Place by Shape option, a horizontal CW plane can be generated.
The Ceiling tool has been around for a long time... targeted at relatively simple requirements and written well before BIM object libraries were so readily available.
It would be great to leverage the excellent work already done with the Curtain Wall tool... a quick test on rotating CWs in 3d throws up a few problems.
U7, place curtain wall by curve, rotate by 3 points, not seeing a problem...

Still seeing problems on my end...
For example, changing the Height from 5000 to 10000 of the rotated CW produces some unexpected results. It looks like the code is still interpreting Height as a vector aligned with the model z-axis?
It would be good to 'spec' this for dev before hand? Better than random checks... if not, users will shy away from using the tools this way, which would be a shame.
Use the Move tool:
Home > OpenBuildings Architecture > Curtain Walls > Curtain Wall Manipulation > Manipulating Height and Length
Nice. But the keyin should also work.
