We have this problem intermittently also Marc, It used to occur regularly in earlier versions of MS Connect but generally seemed to stop a couple of years ago, though recently I have had reports from users of the same.
We are generally unable to replicate the issue so I have been unable to file any SR's on it.
Only happens for some people, some of the time, not always the same people, but definitely not consistently across the office which leads me to believe it is some kind of prefs issue

I completely agree! I suppose this is also a the case for Microstation Connect vs Microstation V8i?

In ABD the menu>UNDO tells you what command is undone.

Not so in OBD ??

It can be very usefull, even necessary, to understan dwhat command you are undoing. It can be ouside your views or in another Model.

I had the same (or at least very similar) issue last week. I can't say for sure if it undoes everything until the point where I opened the file, but it skips a lot of steps!! Both CTRL+Z as well as undo button. I'm not sure if Redo will make all changes come back.

Working in OBD U (10.08.00.44). I think the files where this happened have version control active. I'll have to pay a little more attention next time!

We have had reports of Undo stepping several steps back but unable to redo to recover Marc. In this case ORD 10.9.1

same undo problem has happened to me too recently. ctrl+Z undos all & same does the undo icon in Quick Access Toolbar. it doesn't help even if you disable undo_all & undo_to_mark in Quick Access Toolbar.

after compressing the file problem disappears.

i get this error happening if microstation has crashed and i get the message to send a report and i press the ignore, retry or cancel button.

then the undo command will go back to the last time program was opened not the last time it was saved.

The icon will appear as you work, as long as is disappears as soon as you pause it will be indicating normal operation. If it stays visible for a noticeable period that could suggest latency between your machine and the file location. Are you home working and how are you connected to your files?

Did/does compressing files make any difference?

How big are your files (just for information, could be relevant to thinking about network latency)?

Happened again to another drafter in our office - different model.

He said it undid everything since he opened the model.

He was able to click redo and it all came back.

Yes the floppy icon appears regularly.

I have not had this error again yet - possibly a system reboot has fixed it?

This is not normal behaviour obviously.

The undo tool in both places issues the 'undo' command, as does 'Ctrl + Z'.

Has this occurred with just one file or have you seen it with other files?

I suggest compressing the file before starting work on it, select all options.

OBD saves every time it spots a (very) brief pause in user activity.

As you work are you seeing the save icon (floppy disk) persisting? It should disappear as soon as you pause:
