this is probably a dumb question.
When I create a sheet view of a floor plan or elevation it gives me the view in a solid color rather than a line drawing.
Do I have something toggled on or off?
version 08.11.05.46 Bentley Arch.
version 08.11.05.17 Microstation V8i
Thanks,
I'm guessing that the view attributes are set to Filled Hidden Line or similar. Check either in that model or in the DV definition.
I have tried that. Although I am not sure where the DV definition is located.
I have attached a sample of the sheet image here along with the actual dgn file here. there is no view render tool available in this view and it does not show up as a tool that is available.
None of the view change tools make a difference.
appreciate any insite folks can give me.

Hi Claude,
how elements in dynamic views are displayed is defined in Clip Volume Settings in View Attributes dialog. I assume you don't use MicroStation saved views but Bentley Architecture Building Named Views, so go to Building View Manager and double-click on the view definition. Here you can check and modify the View Attributes. If a view is Building Named View, more settings are available in Building part of View Attributes dialog.
If you change anything, you should to update the definition, so your change will be persistent. If a reference attachement is based on saved view and toggle "Synchornize with Saved View" is on, the change will be propagated automatically. May be you will have to defined you own display style that will satisfy your requirements.

What Jan said. :-)
Jan and Steve, that helps a lot, thank you. It took some practice but I was able to get my views the way I wanted.
As a result, I noticed that some of my 3d plumbing fixtures are only showing up in 2d in the 3d model.
When I try to place a new plumbing fixture on, all I see is the 2d element. I have my 2d sheets nesting at 99.
Do I have something toggled off. I checked my levels and they are all on.
Thanks again.
