Is there a way to get the OBD tool to round the corners (and ends) of the handrails? This is very common and required by the UK Bldg Regs. Also a big no-no for public stairs in stations for safety reasons.
Dropping the handrail and trying to use the Mstn to create the corner is very problematic and tedious. The new Prosteel elements also makes things a little more complicated.
Hi Dominic,
As long as the path + railing configuration together are physically possible, yes, it should work. Here are three I just placed from the NM dataset using a line string:
Thx for the tip.
Not sure, but using a path is not very reliable on a slope.
Also, it is very difficult to adjust the radius of the the corner after the railing is generated.
Much better if the railings could have the corners as a parametric feature, I think.

Ah, I see. Yes, creating a railing on a slope results in bend joints that are, well, unusual. ;)
Have you filed a Service Request for this? It really should get logged as a defect.
Err.. this is what you will need to be able to do on most stairs (and ramps) that will have landings.
SR: No probs.
