Hello all, I am using BA 8.11.05.46. In my level display window I see a large number of levels marked as used, while this is a new dgn and nothing drawn yet. In V8-2004, no level would show used in a new file. My config setup is very much like I used to have in this former version. I have no clue to what is causing this.
Any ideas?
Hello,
These are the levels used in part/family for cut/fw/ref and centerline graphics for Drawing View. Since DEM is capable to create these lveles in new file this was not a problem, but Dynamic view do not create new element (It is mean to dispaly same data in different presentation). This new DV presntation cannot be created on the levels that do ot exists nad therefore the dataset is scanned for undefined levels which are getting added to the DGN file.
configuration variable BB_DVDATASETELEMENTS in atflocal.cfg controls this. If this variable is commented ,scan and creation of undefined levels is disabled. But this could lead to a problem for drawing view output.
HTH,
Sandeep
Sandeep, thanks for the answer. I will try commenting out this variable since I don't think I will use DV, being used to DEM so much.

And just so you're aware... In the main DEM dialog, right next to the "Move Cut Plane" icon, is the "Sync Drawing Def" icon which will generate a DV based on the currently selected DEM definition. It's a nice way to make the transition, or just play with the two options side by side, using your existing settings from DEM.
