Hi
I am newbie in OBD so may be this is a silly question:
How could I color code structure elements by floor using Display Rules and Display Styles?
Am I wrong or there is no way to associate/links elements to floors?
The only way I found to do this is using reference models by floor and file name for set criteria. Any other idea?
Thank you!
If you are using references to separate floors this is the simples solution.
I am more familiar with MicroStation so am not completely familiar with all the properties avaialbe with the building element properties but if there is a property that reports the floor then you should be able to use that.
Another option would be to attach a custom item type that reports the floor of the element and a display rule could be generated from that property.
Hi David.
Sadly I haven't found any default property for it and a customized one would not be so automated.
Thank you for your answer.
Hi Ricardo,
Maybe something like this might work?

In OBD elements and objects are not attached relative to the floor manager/levels, rather just geometry placed at X/Y/Z so you can either split by reference and use overrides to colour each floor, or using display styles the simplest way would be to use a Thematic:Height Display style. Display Rules would be too fiddly to set-up for this purpose.
