In OBD Updated 7, double angle members do not resymbolize to a single line graphic. This issue is occurring with both Horizontal Bracing and Vertical Bracing.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Hello Ruston,
Have you checked if there is any rules defined for the braces or not? If not then try to create a new rule for the braces using the Part & family that you have assign to those members and define the single line symbology in there. Refer to the below image to see how you can create a new structural rule.
I hope this helps with your query.

Thanks Alifur,
Yes I tired several different rules, both in the custom workspace/workset as well as the OTB rules supplied with the software. In the screenshot I attached in the original post all horizontal bracing members have the same rule applied, but only the single angle member resymbolizied to a single line.

Dan
Hello Ruston, thank you for the response. This is definitely strange. Can you please share the file & also the structural rule that you are using. That way we can test the item on our end.
The rules you can find from the dataset level. See the example location: "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_NM\Rules\Structural.rul"
I created the file in the Building_Examples Workspace/BuildingTemplate_US Workset using the delivered structural rules. Attached is the test file (HB_TEST2.dgn), I am not able to upload the structural.rul. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
HB_TEST2.dgn
Hi Dan,
As soon as I open your file in Update 8 this is what I see:
I can't say for sure, but it looks as though there may been a defect in U7 that has since been resolved.
