i want selected element hide or unhide , only selected hide or un hide ,any one have this solution
You can control the display of elements by various methods: level display and DisplaySets being the most immediate.
Named groups can also be used in conjunction with DisplaySets if you want to maintain groups of elements for display purposes that exist on multiple levels.

i want to hide this selected object how to hide or unhide with short key or any other process to do it.thanks.
Hi,
Commands isolate/clear isolate can also be used from Explorer->Dgn->Models->Elements. See image below . I believe this will help to control visibility of the desired elements.

Hello Sandeep,
As a relatively new user of OBD I also find that the option to hide an element is missing! The functionality you are showing is the same (or similar) to displaysets. To Isolate an object, or a selection if very easy indeed. But sometimes I want to easiliy hide a single element. Sometimes it's OK to turn the level off and thus hide all elements in that level. But often that's not what I want. In many software (even the most basic IFC viewers) the user does get the option to hide. Can this be done already in OBD? If not, Can it easily be implemented?
Keyins and making a tool or popping on a function key might be an idea.
Isolate - displayset add;displayset set
Hide - displayset add;displayset remove
For this one, you need to run the Isolate first then all further hides will operate.

Thank you for the suggestion! This is indeed what I am looking for - and I guess I'm not the only one.
Is there also a way to save those keyin commands and maybe even call them from a shortcut or something?
You can add them to the ribbon.

Or you can customize your mouse

Or customize the popups.

Or add them to the function keys.

There are more resources out there but this was what I found in a quick google search. Note: the same process for customizing is the same across many products so while some of the above are for other products the same process applies for OpenBuildings.

Apparently there is an MDL for this, written by Yongan.Fu in the ChinaFirst wiki.
MDLs for both V8i and CE are provided.
Haven't tried it so do provide feedback. The translation describes hiding but the command is MDL LOAD IsolateSelected
If I remeber correctly displayset only do this for all open View Windows
VIEWSET does this for a single View Window - and you can have different sets for different View Windows.
Very usefull!
