I have recieved a dwg made with Autocad Plant.
We don't want edit the content, only reference to see and measure to so we can construct the building around it.
Any experience with that?
Any pitfalls with geometry not showing up etc?

Do you know AutoCAD Plant version, used to create DWG file?

In what product / version you want to open DWG file? Even when both in V8i and CE versions the DWG support is implemented using RealDWG libraries, how 3D geometry is handled is different. Differences, consequences and available settings in CE have been discussed in MicroStation forum from time to time.

I think I have not tried DWG created specifically in AutoCAD Plant, but the result depend on the version, whether object enablers are available, and in some cases also how MicroStation is configured.

Do you experience any issue, when the file is referenced?
