Visualization > Render Scene > Image Setting does not activate

The tiny pop up window which is hidden behind the three dots (...) at the lower right corner of the render scene process window has the option called "Image Settings". In previous OBD versions that worked, but now it does (ver 8) not activate. Why it is still there, if it does not work? It used to be the easy way to put a custom background to a rendered view (instead of environment Manager)...

  • Hello Mikko,

I am using OpenBuildings Designer update 8 (10.08.00.044) and i tried to do the same operation as you mentioned. At first it will not be activated when you open the render screen dialog. You have to click on the Render button and once you see the elements in the render screen then the three dots will be activated.

After that following the proper workflow I am getting the desired result where the selected image is showing in the background. Please go through the workflow video and let me know if it helps you.

    Regards,

  • Hi Alifur! Yes, that is the procedure, but as I tried to explain, mine did not appear. But now I got it. The pop up window opened somewhere 'behind' the working screen area and was not visible. Frustrating to try to sneek around where it was hidden...

  • Hello Mikko, If the sneeking happens again then you can try to search for window list in the search ribbon and it will list all the available windows there. Double clicking on the required window will bring that back in the view.

    Regards,
    Alifur
