I am architect using Open Building Designer CE.
We have a project where the client uses Autocad Plant 3d and we get dwgs from them.
We just want the geometry so we can design the building around the plant.
Can we reference the dwgs directly without risk of missing some geometry?
Or other problems like slow loading/panning/view updates in rendered views or slow Dynamic Viewes?
I have heard of object enablers?
Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Hi Thomas,
If the incoming geometry is completely represented in DWG you will see it as created by your project partner. We open DWG using Autodesk RealDWG libraries so see exactly the same geometry as an Autodesk user.
If any Object Enablers that you need are not included with the RealDWG libraries we will show a message in the status bar "One or more Object Enablers is missing". More information on this can be found in: MicroStation and AutoCAD Object Enablers

We saw differences in rendered views in different programs. But seems all elements show up in wireframe, which is good.
Looked in the Message Center, and yes, there are Enablers missing, see below.
Please have patience with my ignorance but I want to get this right.
1- It is not enough for the Autocad Plant 3d user to save with proxygraphics on for me to see all geometry? Is there anything they can do so I can view the full dwg without doing something on my side?
2- the Object Enablers they are run on my system in MicroStation/OBD- right? But how do I find out which one/s?
