Is there a config var in CE to have dwgs to save directly to disk, instead of beeing interrupted every now and then.
Or not saving until you close (with alert to save/not save)
Hi Thomas,
MS_DWGAUTOSAVE = <value in seconds>
Determines the frequency, in seconds, of the auto-save timer for DWG and DXF format files. For example, if set to 300 (the default), an auto-save will occur approximately 5 minutes after the first change to the design. The minimum value is 30 seconds.
MS_DWGAUTOSAVE_NODIALOG = 1
DWG and DXF format files take far longer than V8 format design files to save. Therefore, by default OpenBuildings Designer displays a dialog box allowing the user to defer the auto-save operation. If this configuration variable is set, this dialog box is skipped and auto-save occurs automatically.

Thanks Marc
Slowly force my way into CE...
Reason i asked was I went to Configuration Variables dialog and selected DWG in the left panel - no ...autosave...
But if I search they turn up!

Hi Tomas,
Search is far better than the categories on the left as it searches all of the text related to a variable, including the descriptions. I rarely use the left panel these days.
However we should address that, I filed Bug 725177 "DWG Configuration Variables dialog, incomplete list in DWG category" in response to your comments.
This was investigated and the response from development to Bug 725177 "DWG Configuration Variables dialog, incomplete list in DWG category" was that changing the behaviour would result in duplicate entries when searching for "DWG". The bug has been closed as "cannot fix".
As previously suggested we recommend the use of search in the Configuration Variables dialog. (I rarely use the categories list...)
