Place Table Retain Association Link

OpenBuildingsDesigner CONNECTEdition Update 4. Version - 10.04.00.69

ProjectWise Connect 10.00.03.334

Hi All,

I am currently working inside ProjectWise. I have placed a table using an excel spreadsheet which resides in a one-drive location with the "Retain Association" toggled on. Meanwhile, I have updated the excel spreadsheet located on my one-drive but the data does not update on my placed AECOsim table.

Also, each time I click on the edit link button located in the center of the AECOsim table, my AECOsim just freezes up and I have to check-in the file on ProjectWise, use ALT+CTRL+DELETE to close AECOsim then run AECOsim all over. Most times when this happen, I loose work I have not updated server copy on Projectwise.

I will really appreciate your help on this

Thank you

regards

Henry

  • Hello Henry,

Once the Excel is updated on the OneDrive, can you please try to use the Key-In Table Refresh All, and check whether it updates your excel sheets as per the new changes or not. I have tried the same step on local machine and running the key-in helps to update the excel. Also once the table is getting updated, if you click on the table and then in the layout tab you will find an option called, Refresh table from data source. See the below image.

Regarding the Edit link, it is then trying to open the MS Properties dialog and the time taking to open that will depend how large your excel sheet is.
