Why is it that my Space label appears ok, but with only room name in it, no area?
Hi Brenden
i have no clues about configuration in CE but searching Annotation Cell opens this file
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_SE
Annotation_DG.cel
regards /Thomas Voghera
Hi Thomas,
That is the default Dataset SE Space annotation, it only contains two fields, one of which is the room number. Once room numbers are added either via the schedule or by editing individual space properties they will show up in the annotation. Other cells can be selected in the UI or you can modify them or make your own.
Here is a video showing the Catalog (DataGroup) Annotation tools in action, more details at Spaces - DataGroup Annotation Cells - Changing the Length of the Room Number

Thanks for the links.
I copied the Model/cell to a new in the file and selected it as in the video. Looks like this.
And selected it in the Annotationn Tool Settings, and okx2.
But when I place a room label it looks like this
The Refresh ... didn't work either. What am I doing wrong?
Spaces look different in the 3D model to drawings.
In the 3D model we display a dynamic artefact, this is what is shown in the second screengrab. his cannot be edited, it is intended to be a placeholder showing that the space is present and displaying some core information, the empty space is because Label 2 and Space Number values are blank.
Once a plan is generated by a callout the chosen Space annotation cell will replace it.
