Extract 3D Linestring Profile From Terrain Mesh

 Hi All, 
 How do I extract a 3D line/smartline/ profile/section from a terrain mesh using the section line (in yellow) as illustrated in the image below?

should work with a Planar Slice. In OpenRail/Roads you will have better Tools for this Task

Hi Karsten, 
 Many thanks for your contribution. 
 Yes, you were right. The "Planar Slice" tool was taking to much time to compute so, I decided to raise a service request with OpenRoads terrain team. They provided me a quick video (too large to be uploaded here) illustration and it turned to be a much faster and efficient approach for me.

There is also the Stencil Tool (Visualization > Utilities > Stencil 2D Elements on 3D Geometry) which gives you a similar result.
