Does the Place Stair tool among all the various constraints possible allow for user definition of the gap between two flights of stairs when creating a "half-turn" stair? so far as I can see the minimum separation of the flights is 250mm between closed stringers.
The problem is to do with rotated plan views. If you select the stair in a delivered 'Top' view the dims show up.
Trial and error discovered this. Including merging the non working stair into a new file.

I too would like to know the answer to this question.
In the past, when selecting a staircase, there used to be dimension toggles which I could adjust. Somehow I have either turned them off or something. How do I turn them back on?
No, AFAIK there are no tools to do that. My suggestion would be to reference > merge the elements into a new file using the same working units.
I was just going home!
The lack of display seems to be file-based, (and there are some other anomalies in this file as well). The stairs generate in a dummy file and display full (I guess) HUD attributes and the gap can be reduced by editing the HUD dim for the landing to within 1mm.
Is there any way that I can verify the file for errors/corruption?
Hmmm... So after selecting the stair, it highlights but does not display any HUD dimensions or even the stair numbers? Odd...
If you place two walls, do you get HUD dimensions between them?
