When using v8 OBD I get the following error message when trying to place a curtain wall
'cannot place Curtain Walls with selected option'. This is using the bentley examples, with a metric dataset / workspace,
When I switch to the imperial examples the function works ?

this could be a Problem with the working Units in the Designfile and the Curtainwall Parametric Cells. If they are different you get these Message.
It's solved in Update 9 but meanwhile you can try to set the resolution in your seedfile to 1.000.000 per Meter or change the resolution in the CurtainWall_Profiles.cel (each Modell) to the same as in your seedfile.
I've looked at the design file working units, they are set to mm. the resolution is at 1000. In both the cel and design file.
I have tried adjusting them both but am still unable to add the curtainwall. No problem just the new demo version looks like the
imperial side has been checked but not the metric side.
What are the selected options? Which Curtain Wall type and height, panel spacing/numbers?

Generic - numberofpanels - height 5000, fixed distance. type curtain wall. horizontal panels greyed out at 6. horizontal spacing 2000. I have tried the other catalog types with no success. The walls are fine as I have been able to insert doors and windows. I've tested my method with the imperial files and placement isn't a issue there ?

OK, I can produce that message; if I make the curtain wall too short 6 mullions won't fit into the wall length. For scale, the grid in this file is set at 1000mm.
I'm using BuildingTemplate_NM for this test. Which dataset are you using?
