Hi! I´m dealing with an issue on OpenBuildings for a while. So, basically, when I try to place a section callout on the model the starting point appears far away from my model and it's stuck always on the same z coordinate. I've tried to place lines and it works fine (the starting point is at z=0.000, user defined) so I don't know what's wrong about it, if is some kind of a bug, it's just something that I'm doing wrong or some variable that is defined and I don't know about it.
I would appreciate any help on this matter.
Thank You in advance!
Hi Fabio,
The default settings in OpenBuildings Designer include ACS Plane and Snap Locks on. In addition to the standard Locks in the status bar:
OpenBuildings Designer loads a default Toolbox, Icon Locks, which contains four toggles; when ON they show Red, when OFF they show green (i.e. open)
The intention behind these is to assist working with the Floor Manager in a workflow where you select the Active Floor and thus the ACS Plane. Once a Floor is active and both ACS Plane and Snap Locks are on element placement Z-height is constrained to the active Floor/ACS plane.
This could explain the behaviour that you are experiencing.
Regards
Marc
I have the same Issue in pure MicroStation[CE16.2] or OBD I am struggling with this for a while any other file - new or from different sources. This seems to be badly broken.
I have a smaller industry building model with raceways in two floors (Groundfloor, First Floor and a Double Floor in between) The builing is rotated. So I have an ACS "BAU" that is rotated some 8°
I need plan views cut for these. So I put in Plan Callouts.
I have (even) created a new (fresh, empty) file, copied in the raceways and referenced the building file.
ELT MuW Modell Raceways 2Floors.dgnExport_10735_BAU_reduziert.dgn
though the ACS is active, the rotation (?) of the Callout placement stays apparently rotated to the GCS. When I force it to follow the ACS Accudraw Orientation. The Callout becomes sometimes strangely flattended
While placing the first Plan Callout: The depth of the Plan Callout is waaay to deep and I have to fiddle to fix it - another bug
While trying you may recognize that the ACS is sometimes lost (another bug)
