Working this morning using U8 saw the notification that U9 was available so thought I would download and install
It takes forever to install
Eventually able to start working again and find I can't because it won't let me I am confronted with this screen and there is no way past this
I don't use worksets I have no need of them
How do I proceed from here to actually earn my living when the software doesn't allow me to work as I did a couple of hours ago?
Ian
I made the mistake of Installing this update thru the Connection client and I see the same result.
Although I redirect my workspace and Worksets, I still use the installed Dataset_US data. From what I can tell, it made a backup of the Dataset_US folder and created a new Dataset_US folder. But this new folder only has 3 folders with a few files in it. So now OBD cannot find the dataset.cfg that no longer exist and nothing works.

Yes the configuration folder shows that all the back_up datasets created from U7 - U8 have now been backed up again
without any notification that this was going to be done
currently using OBD 10.10.01.151
A solution that has worked
1 - Uninstall the update
2 - Download the update from the Software download centre NOT through connection client
3 - Install upgrade
4 - Modify upgrade to install your required datasets
5 - Restart your computer
6 - Hopefully you will then be able to see your dataset and unlike me have a whole days work wiped out
Ian,
Great that it works for you.. We have conducted Upgrade test through Connection Client and it is working good. Did you also upgrade Connection Client version during your last upgrade ?
Regards,
Sandeep
No I didn't upgrade Connection Client either before attempting installation or within the last 24 hours since the abortive attempts to get a working update 9 on my computer. Currently Connection Client is version 11.00.04.15
So it means OBD does not get upgraded on your machine from Connection Client but using .exe. Since if we don't upgrade Connection Client first it does not allow to install OBD U9.
We are trying to reproduce your issue, I'll update you on our findings,
Thanks and Regards,
Not sure if it matters, but my connection client was up-to-date and installing OBD from the client did not work properly.
