Disable compound slabs in U9?

Hello,

Is there a possibilty to disable the compound slabs in Update9 and use the "legacy" slab functionality?

I have a need for editing the form, putting slope, ... more than for a compound slap at the moment. And the "Modify Solid Entity" tools are not working on Compound Slabs.

  • Hi Johan,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I have tested this issue at my end and found out that editing the form, putting the slop option only applicable for MS slab. For Architectural and Structural Slab you can not use the 'Modify Slope' option. But you can surely modify their shapes by dragging their edge handle. Here is a short video about it.

  • Hello Shreya,

Yes I know what the limitations and possibilities are for the compound slabs. I believe development is working on sloped slabs for (one of) the next update(s).

In the meantime I'd like to know if there is any way to disable the new compound slab functionality in U9 and use the "old" architectural/structural slabs from U8 and before? I think it's quite similar to ProStructures columns/beams that were introduced in U6 or U7 which could be turned off to use Legacy elements?

    best regards,

    Johan

  • Hi Johan,

I have discussed internally this and found out you can not disable the compound slab but you can surely use the old slab from the previous update using this key-in,

    TFPLACE FORM 1SLABNEWDG

Here is a small video about it

  • Hi,

it is frustrating that the"place slab" is "forgotten", it should be a second icon in the toolbar,

There is a key in, so there is still a way to use it

My company standards are not showing up in the compound slab settings box, if I use the key in, they are available.

or: what is necessary to add the existing company slabs (single slabs) to be visible in the compound slab box.

I miss an upgrade guide: datagroups:  slab to compound slab.

BTW, if I try to search "place compoundslab" in the "search ribbon (F4)" the command is not recognized.

    regards Rik
