Hi I'm new user of open building. I am having a issue with a simple cylinder. As you will see in sketch below, there is a blue and red cylinder end. The blue one was drawn randomly and then in it's properties the end points on either side were modified to the required coordinates. For the Red one I drew a line with the required coordinates and then drew a cylinder using the line as a guide. The Red one is the correct version where the circular flat face end is 90 deg to the rounded side. The Blue one which as stated was moved into position by it's coordinate properties does not seem to represent the flat face correctly whereby the angle on one side might be something like 85 deg and opposite side might be something like 95 deg. is there a method or setting to change this so that if I drew a cylinder randomly then input it's coordinates it would appear as the red one?
Hi William,
Please can you send us the DGN file containing this geometry? It's far easier to discuss with the actual model to hand.
The behaviour of the Solids Cylinder tool in OpenBuildings is identical to its behaviour in MicroStation, OpenBuildings contains all of MicroStation's tools and functionality.
