Hello,
I was looking into the export of a 3D design model to DWG. It is important that the resulting DWG has 3D solids in it, not something face based.
I found a wiki page in the Microstation community advising to change the entity mapping to "ACIS entity":
=> This works for "normal" MS objects like simple extrusion. Also for some building elements like the compound slabs.
However most objects don't export fine:
* 'Legacy' slab => Converted to 3D faces
* Walls => Converted to 3D faces
* PS elements => Converted to single lines "wireframe". Not even a block go group them together.
Am I missing some options?
Hi Johan, Thanks for raising this issue. I will try to export different elements types to DWG file format with this setting and will share my outcome with you. In the meantime can you please let me know whether you are referring to this Micorstation wiki?

Shivam Soni
Yes indeed that's the Wiki article I mentioned.
Thank you!
Hi Johan,
Thank you very much for being with us. Below are some findings after our investigation
1. Regarding this point "* PS elements => Converted to single lines "wireframe". Not even a block go group them together"
Yes, it’s a known Bug that while exporting the PS element to DWG file format, it does not create solids for PS elements but rather it split into the lines.
2. Regarding the exporting of the wall, slab, etc to the DWG, we observe that it is showing as individual shapes and not the smart solid which seems like a regression from the V8i.
Can you please raise two Service request on the two above-mentioned points so that I can attach a bug to your SR number?
Thanks Shivam! I created the SR's as well as another one related do DWG export of drawings.
