Is is possible to export a building elevation with a geometry map to DWG so the geometry map is a hatch? I will need to export elevations showing a wood siding pattern. So far my exports converts the geometry map to many individual lines rather than a hatch.
Hi John,
Yes, Its is possible to export to DWG along with geometry map. Make sure your geometry mapping has been creating and visible in proper way within DGN file. I am sharing two tutorial links in this regards, hope it will help you.

Thank you Arindam. I understand how to create geometry maps. What I want to understand better is how they export to DWG. In my tests they export as many individual lines when references are merged, or as a dwg block when references are a cell. I am exporting from a drawing model in these tests. When the block is exploded in Acad it is many lines. Is it possible to export the geometry map as a dwg "hatch" element? This would be the ideal case, but maybe not possible.
In OBD there is no any specific features to export as hatch element. Generally during export all types of line gets exported to DWG. Please check below two settings while exporting to DWG. However if this issue still persist at your end, please share the files via a service request we will help you.

Hi Arindam,
I am able to get lines to export to DWG. A block of the lines is better than all of them individual. It would be easier for the recipient of the DWG to have a hatch object, but this should work. Thank you again for you help.
Hello John,
You are welcome!I am glad to hear that it worked.
