Copying saved views/sections/plans to a NEW Master model file

Hello,

Our CAD team is currently facing some issues. We have 5 levels in our model, combined into a master model.

We have attempted to copy the model files and create a NEW model file, to resolve long opening times and nesting issues. We are facing two problems in this procedure:

1. We are struggling to copy saved views, sections & plans over to the "NEWLY CREATED" master model file.
2. We are unable to purge/Compress without deleting line type & views. This is required to reduce the file size.

We are using Open Building Designer version 10.7.0.105

Any help is appreciated.

Kind Regards

  • In regards to copying saved views, sections & plans over to a new master model, I have found the following steps seem to work:

    1. Create a new master model
    2. Open saved view dialog box and import the saved view created in the previous model
    3. In the design space make sure all the marker call-outs are displayed in the reference, select everything and copy into the new design space
    4. Open the model dialog box and import the drawing models and/or sheets
