Best modelling Practice - OpenBuilding

Hi OBD Experts,

I am trying to find the best tool in OBD to model complex objects. In the example below, If I want to model a wall which follows two-line strings to define the "top of the wall" and "bottom of the wall" which OBD tool/modelling method will give me the final 3D object. I can model this using surface modelling, mash modelling or smart-solid modelling tools, however, I am trying to find a way where I can use OBD Architectural or Structural modeling tools to model this object so I get DG property (example, length of the wall, the thickness of the wall, cross section name etc.)

  • If it's just a planar Cut, you can use the Guide Lines to cut your Wall. That way you can later easily change the Wall Cut if needed
