 Im still missing how to get transparency on glass when exporting to a IFC-model. It works with all other BIM software and its a bit embarrassing when joining BIMcoordination-meetings. &lt;p&gt;The windows does have transparency in IFC 4, please refer to the attached image above where the windows are in blue transparency.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thank you for sending the files, but the revit file that you have sent is only showing transparency in through the window and curtain walls. not through any walls or slabs.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I can se that transparency from my export is ok in:&lt;br /&gt;Your Viewer ( I think )&lt;br /&gt;Dalux IFC &lt;span&gt;Viewer&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But no transparency when the IFC is opened&amp;nbsp;in:&lt;br /&gt;Solibri&lt;br /&gt;Navis&lt;br /&gt;SimpleBim&lt;br /&gt;OpenBuildingsDesigner&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The other programs shows transparency when the IFC is exported from Archicad or Revit.&lt;br /&gt;So i think something is missing in the IFC export from OBD&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I even &lt;span&gt;opened&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;a ICF made from Revit ( Made from&amp;nbsp;competing&amp;nbsp;&lt;span style="font-size:12px;"&gt;office&lt;/span&gt;) in OBD and it looks great.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;I Used the ICF 4 export&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Could you look in to this please  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Got an Answer, IFC 2*3 does not support transparency so you won&amp;#39;t be able to see that in IFC.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;IFC 4 does support transparency, but most of the IFC viewers does not support transparency as&amp;nbsp;&lt;span&gt;transparency is not a requirement for Coordination and Reference View certification. We have got an IFC viewer where it shows transparency properly. See the below image.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;img src="/resized-image/__size/320x240/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/5917/pastedimage1667471158174v1.png" alt=" " /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;So its IFC viewers that is not showing the Transparency&amp;nbsp;properly. i hope this helps you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If the elements have transparency then you should be able to see the transparency. If an Window has glass that is transparent in nature so with IFC 4, you will be able to get that in IFC.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
