Hello,
I'm having an issue with compound slabs and (wall) openings. Let me sketch the situation:
There is a wall starting at Z=0. The (compound) slab also starts at the same position and makes an "indentation" into where the door opening must be. So there is a partial overlap between the wall and the slab below the actual door opening:
In order to make a cut into the wall at this position (so that there is no longer an overlap with the CS), I create an opening with the same width dimension as the door opening and the height dimension equal to the slab thickness:
With the old slabs, this would be it. It worked.
In the new CS however, this opening also cuts the slab. And not only for the thickness of the wall, but even for the entire length of the slab:
This is not an issue when the wall and door are placed on top of the slab. But when it comes to architectural finishing, that's not always the case of course ...
Any tips how to solve this? Is this a bug or intended behaviour?

Hi Johan. Thanks for reaching out to us. I am testing this issue on my end and will discuss it with my internal team. Will let you know the update shortly.Regards,Shreya
Hi Johan, I have tested this issue and discussed it internally. It looks like a bug to me. But for now, there are two workarounds that we can find so far, 1. Place the compound slab by selecting ‘Core Top’ for the ‘Place Form’ option. 2. While placing the wall opening gives the base offset equal to slab thickness. Then this issue will not take place. For more detailed steps look into the video, You can log an SR for this and will attach the bug number with it so that our dev team will look into it. HTH Regards, Shreya
Hi Shreya,
Thanks for the investigation! I'll definitely file the SR.
From the video it's hard to see, but I don't think the opening in the walls goes below the top of the slab? Or even the slab itself?
Or am I missing something?
I have always wanted to have a value of 0 =(zero) in the SENSE DISTANCE field to mean that the opening is only cut in the Linear Form/Wall the door/window is placed in.

Yes, I tried that. But it doesn't accept this value. Has that always been the case?
