We are trying to install V8i software however the digital signature of the software is out of date. Bently will not provide an in date signature (fair enough with V8i no longer being supported) does any one know a work around. or is anyone having similar issues
Hi Jake,
You are correct that V8i is deprecated so will not be updated. Is there a company policy preventing you from installing V8i, or is it something more than that?
Regards,Steve Cocchi
Its a bit more than a company policy the digital signature on the installer prevents people from installing modified versions of OBD however it does time out and needs to be "resigned" if the installer did not have the signature then we would be all good. I'm looking for ways to either strip the signature from the installer or if anyone has any ideas on how to get around the signature as it is preventing us from installing.
Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure I completely understand why V8i won't install due to the digital signature - internally we install V8i so we have to refer to - so I'm assuming it's something in the group policy or similar. Either way, I'm afraid I don't have anything to offer in stripping it from the installer. If anyone else has come across this perhaps they can add to the discussion.
