PAZ file giving me trouble

Could somebody help me with this PAZ file I created for Vertical Blinds. I simply couldn't get it to work with Bentley Architecture. I am worried if the PAZ file itself is having problems. I have another PAZ  file for something else and it works without any issues. If you could download this and analyze it and let me know what could be the issues, I would apprecaite a lot.

I might be doing something wrong with the parametric value while connecting to the datagroup system. I don't know where the error is. BA simply refuses to list this paz file in the User Defined Cell window. The Window_Cookie.paz works but the other one doesn't.

  • Dear Steve,

I am glad to hear from you. Actually I was expecting to hear from you. In the past when I setup the PAZ files, I don't remember if I had to point ATFDIR_CELL for parametric cells to work. Seems like I might have forgotten since its been a while. Do you confirm that the graphical objects need to be in the ATFDIR_CELL for PAZ connection?

I think thats what my problem is.

    Sincerely,

    Rabi

  • Hi Rabi.  You must have that Vulcan mind-thingy going or something...  :)

Anyhow... Assuming that this cell is not intended to act as a "frame"; i.e., a door, window, etc, then yes, the dataset's \cell folder would be the default location.  It's more or less the location for all User Defined objects - Curtain Walls, Handrails, Plumbing Fixtures, etc.  Sounds like a good home for window blinds!
