Hi. I am new to Microstation and Bentley products. I have been an Autodesk user for the past 10 years. I am struggling to learn Microstation and Bentley Building Mechanical Systems (and soon the electrical systems). My problem is finding help, training and books. The help menu is poor at best. I've found several books for Microstation but absolutely nothing for BBMS. I donnot have time to wait for a Bentley online course and at the cost of $800 for an 8 hour course I don't think I could get that approved anyway. I've seen Bentley BIM presentations and know that their products can produce outstanding drawings and models. How do users go about learning how to use the software?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
I would try the onDemand training for Microstation first, then I would move on to OnDemand Training for BBMS. Feel free to ask any questions on this board as well.
Thanks,
Jordan
Have you learned how to use AccuDraw yet?
Yes a little. I've had to rush through this. Two weeks ago was the first time I'd ever used this product. I just figured out if I changed the ACS I could get the duct to go vertically. Are you saying that I can do this without using the ACS? I'll go back and look through the Accudraw information.
Thanks again
I use ACS [EDIT: ACCUDRAW] to control the vertical direction of the duct. If you are having difficulty with duct not going vertical like you think it should, make sure you have turned off your ACS Plan and ACS Snap Locks.
