I am new to Microstation and Bentley products. I have been an Autodesk user for the past 10 years. I am struggling to learn Microstation and Bentley Building Mechanical Systems (and soon the electrical systems). My problem is finding help, training

Re: training BBMS

The combination of AccuDraw and locks (including sticky Z) is key to freely placing elements in 3D.

I use <strike>ACS </strike>[EDIT: ACCUDRAW] to control the vertical direction of the duct. If you are having difficulty with duct not going vertical like you think it should, make sure you have turned off your ACS Plan and ACS Snap Locks.

Thanks,

Yes a little. I've had to rush through this. Two weeks ago was the first time I'd ever used this product. I just figured out if I changed the ACS I could get the duct to go vertically. Are you saying that I can do this without using the ACS? I'll go back and look through the Accudraw information.

Thanks again

Have you learned how to use AccuDraw yet?

Currently I'm trying to figure out how to get duct work to go in the Z direction. I've been navigating through BBMS all morning and I just can't figure that one out. Also if I try to connect to an elbow it wants to connect to the center of it instead of the end.

Re: training BBMS

I would try the onDemand training for Microstation first, then I would move on to OnDemand Training for BBMS. Feel free to ask any questions on this board as well.

Thanks,
