I'm working on running elevation extractions from our 3d model. So far it's working ok, but I would like to tweak some of the lineweights so that the resulting extraction is a little more acceptable in a traditional architectural drafting sense. ie, heavier lines to outline the building, medium lines for major elements, light lines for patterns, etc.
FYI : I'm using XM
Thank you.
You can do some but no t all.
Your parts can help in many areas where structure and such are fined with different weights.
You will have to provide an outline yourself manually. This would make a great little utility for someone. (Create plyline hthat wraps something then delete what you don't need)
The patterning is also manual in the newer version and hoefuly will be brought up to date.

I wouldnt put that in my model file but would just do it in the extraction "drawing" model or in the sheet file where you put the notes. As I see it the latest V8i Dynamic Views dont seem to like lines drawn in the model file as much as it used to in XM.
But yes it is very much a manual thing. Microstation's Bentley Architecture is mainly a manual moddelling tool and not a dynamic model like you would find in ArchiCad or Revit.
But in saying that I think Bentley does work on tools that will automate some processes.
