I've been working on creating a series of compound cells that are unique to one of our company's largest clients. Now that I'm ready to set them up in the datagroup system, I'm not being allowed to create a new Catalog Type for these new cells/Items. The option to create a new type is there, but it's faded out and won't be clicked. I've had success creating new catalog items, but not a new Type set.
I've opened the Catalog Editor both through XM while working on building models, and as a stand-alone.
Any suggestions would be great...
Personally, it took me a week to find this little button:
Have you tried it? It should make the create new type button clickable. It is confusing because the tooltip says "Show Catalog Items" when it should say "Click here to make the button on the left show up"
Wonderful!! Thank you, it's now allowing me to set up new Catalog Types.
Here's my follow-up:
I'm now able to place the custom compound cell with the "Place User Defined" tool. So far, so good. However, I tried to Place DataGroup Annotation, and I'm getting the message "ERROR !!! Unable to find active cell."
Thoughts?
I've managed to figure it out. Thank you for your help.
