I typically am asked to show conduit runs as single dashed lines on my 2D drawings, however the extractions of the model show conduit as a double line. Does anyone know how to change the Extraction settings so as to show the desired single line for conduit as adverse to the standard double line on the extractions?
Thank you.
Hmm... I'm not aware of any way to generate a true single line drawing, only because there are no BBES drawing rules. The simplest way I know of to get something resembling a typical single line is to edit your DEM definition and 1) Turn on Constructions in the Participants tab, 2) Turn on Include Hidden Lines in the Forward View tab (assuming the conduit is in the forward view). Then, in your extraction, turn off the level E-RACEWAY. You should be left with the centerline from the 3D model, though unfortunately elbows do display a 90 degree angle and not an arc...
This is about the best option I could come up with. But perhaps others have found other alternatvives, and if so, I'd sure like to know too!
I'm a BA user so not sure if this would work. Add a centerline to your form???? That is how I model the similar in Architecture.
