I am trying to figure out why I am getting small problems all the time when I am making drawing extractions with DEM. Its hard to explain whats happening but sometimes some lines disepear and som times lines show up that dont exist in the 3d-model.
I was wondering if the solid accuracy can be one source for the problem. Lets say I have 3 models with different Solid accuracy settings and I then put them together in a composistion model and define the cuts with DEM. Can this have an effect on how my cuts is generated?
Here is a picture on how my model loos like, Its a complicated geometry so I have to work with shapes in different levels to get the cuts to look good.
Using DEM
1- test with placing the model close to dgn 0,0,0
2- DEM>EDIT DRAWING DEF>>PREFERENCES try set up the accuracy. I have no exact knowledge of the other settings there - but I'd try just fiddling with them.
Also what is your files working units etc and version of ustn?
And it looks like a perfect testcase for Dynamic View.

Ditto - Working close to 0,0,0 is always a good idea for complex geometry. And it's also best to use a consistent working unit resolution for all your DGN files, and not mix and match between them.
And as Thomas mentioned, you can try setting the Accuracy to something more than the default Medium to see if that helps. In the majority of cases this isn't necessary since most designs tend to be of a relatively similar scale and complexity. But if you have a lot of curved and/or small geometry, increasing the accuracy could help.
One other thing... you didn't mention which specific product and version you were using.
It can be a problem with accuracy. If planes are not 90 degrees from each other lines start to disappear
I've not seen this improve
