Using USTN (SS2) 08.11.07.470 and BA (08.11.07.88)Converting DGN Sheet compostion(s) to DWG 2010.
Sheet Composition uses a reference file of a floor plan extraction from DEM or Dynamic View (via Drawing Model)In this case the DG Annotation Door tag is placed in the extraction file at 1/8" scale, however the Sheet is using 3/16".No issue with the scale change, I will just use the new feature of using the annoation scale of the active design file to override the reference annoation scale (see screen shot). Everything looks good in the active design file and when printing.
However, when this sheet file is converted to DWG 2010, in this case merging all the reference files into cells. The DG Annotation Door Tag cell from the "reference file" is not what is expected in the DWG file.(see screen shot)
This issue is reproducable regardless of nesting level or if using Dynamic Views (nested inside Drawing Models). As long as the annotation scale is kept consistent between the design file and any references attached, all is well with the DWG output. However, if using multi-scale composition and leveraging the "Use Active Annotation Scale" feature of attachment settings dialog, output results may vary..Anybody else seeing this?
Does the same thing happen when using non-DG based annotation? IOW, regular MicroStation based annotation or dimensions?
I didn't test standard annotation beyond my example below, the callout text is using Annotation scale and is converted correctly, This seems to be the way the DG Annotation is being handled in this composition via an external reference file.
I did find that if I duplicated the typical AD way of setting up compositions (Model Space /Paper Space in same file) then the DG Annotation cells hold the annotation scale post conversion....
So you're only seeing this when there are separate DGN files involved, vs. a self-attached reference?
