Floor Manager, Dynamic views or both?
I’m new to Bentley Architecture and want to know the best way to set up working files for my users. everyone is talking about Dynamic Views, but Floor manager seems to allow for more accurate plan view creation. Can someone help enlighten me (FYI i am Revit trained and transitioning to Bentley BIM).

Your options for getting plans, sections, etc. from the models are Drawing Extraction Manager (DEM) and Dynamic Views (DVs). The Floor Manager can assist in both cases.
The Floor Manager is a utility for defining "levels" in your project, for example, Floor 1, Floor 2, Roof, etc. You can also set "reference planes" for these level, for example, Floor 1 might have reference levels "Ceiling Height", "Window Sill Height", "Top of Steel", etc.
Basically the Floor Manager is setting a Z elevation for use in your models. And the Floor Manager settings are available across the whole project.
You can set a Forward View depth and Reflected View depth in the Floor Manager and have the Floor Manager create DEM definitions used in the extraction process or saved views used for DV generation.
DEM is the method used up until DVs were introduced. Keep in mind DEM creates "static" extractions, as the model changes the extraction must be processed again to reflect the changes, whereas DVs update as the model is changed.
Here are some links to information on Floor Manager, DEM and DVs. For information on the Floor Manager look in the help contents: Help > Contents > Bentley Building > Building Application Utilities > Floor Management
In the Wiki, Blogs, etc sections in Building Analysis and Design there are some articles that should help:
