Parametric Cell Studio

Why is there not that much information about Parametric Cell Studio. Or am I just looking in the wrong places. Does anyone know if there is a publication on Parametric Cell Studio? Or is the only information about it you can learn from the Bentley Institute?

There is no "publication" as such in the form of a book on PCS, but when installed it does include a Reference Guide and User Guide which are both HTML based documents.

PCS has been out for 4-5 years now and is a product we have to use.

I agree. The help is not very comprehensive and some of the functionality is not consistent with Microstation usage (panning of views for example). More information is needed.

We've been asking for more readily available tutorials and better, more extensive documentation on PCS for years. Our requests continue to fall on deaf ears. I will attempt to bring up at the next AUC meeting.

I learned a lot from "Discussion website" and from the information that is delivered when you install Parametric Cell Studio. Those are limited but important resources.

A better approach would be to let Generative Components export "paz" files and get rid of Parametric Cell Studio. GC is more flexible with parametric modeling. Parametric Cell Studio is very limited and tedious software to work with.
