Sync level state from drawing (with Saved-View referenced on it) to sheet with Standard Top

Ok, maybe a bit lengthy, but here it goes (didn't get a response on the Microstation forum, maybe it fits better in this forum...)
Initial/Desired setup: Design-model >[Saved View, Volume only, Dynamic Visible Edges]>Drawing-model>[Standard Top]>Sheet-model
Situation: In my drawing-model I want to define which levels are visible from the Design-model by setting levels on/off, this works, no problem here. I also put some annotations in the Drawing-model. Then I create a sheet with the Drawing-model Live-Referenced in it, but there appears the saved-view settings (from the 3D-model) defined in the Design-model, and not the level-states that I defined in the Drawing-Model.
Question: Is there some setting/parameter I have to define to make this work?
Alternative is using a Saved View and reference this into the sheet, but the annoying thing is that I have to update this Saved View in the Drawing-model each time I put a level on/off (and sometimes forget to do this...)
In short: howto create a sheet with on it the exact same visibility (levels on/off) that I set in the Drawing-model, and also syncs automatically (when I set a level on/of in the Drawing-model, this also happens in the sheet)
What is the best workflow to acomplish this, or what setting/parameter am I missing?

Or do I have to control the level state by creating a new Saved View in the Design-model (Volume only reference in drawing) and everytime I put a level on/off in the Drawing-model, push the settings back to the Saved View in the Design-model. (thing is that I want to use one Saved View with Volume only referenced into two different drawings with different levels on/off, or is this a big nono?)
  • I'm not sure that's possible with the current implementation...  The overrides set in the Drawing Model are intended to be specific to that instance only, so the Saved View controls how the elements display everywhere else.  Although, I did notice that you've set the orientation in the Drawing Model to "Top" and not the Saved View?

  • Mhm, after re-reading my initial post I'm kind of confused myself what I ment that day.

    2nd try:

Setup is still the same as initial: Design-model >[Saved View, Volume only, Dynamic Visible Edges]>Drawing-model>[Standard Top or Coincident]>Sheet-model.

When I change a level on/off in the Drawing Model (after I created the sheet model) this doesn't get synced to the sheet model. This is logical because Microstation doesn't know which View it has to sync. So how can I make this happen, does this have to do with:

    1. 'display overrides' isn't set correct (although I think this won't have effect due to the fact that the master-model only contains references, and display overrides has only effect on live-nested-reference elements in the referenced model itself?)
    2. I have to 'push to saved view' (although I have 'volume only' on the reference in the Drawing Model)
Or do I need to create a saved view in the Drawing Model and reference this saved view to the Sheet Model?
(just saw this thread which I think relates to my question: Sheet level display controlled by saved views )
