Will there be coming a 64bit version of AECosim in the near future?
The program is getting kind of short on memory (doesn't use all the fysical memory I have installed) when printing full DV-generated sheets.
Or is there some kind of setting/variable I can change to let the program use more fysical memory?
I believe so, but nothing can happen on the ABD side until a 64bit version of the underlying Power Platform is available first; i.e., MicroStation itself. Unfortunately I don't have a good timeframe for all of this.
So what does the 64bit version gives that is better than the 32bit?
First and foremost, access to > 3GB memory. On large projects this can sometimes be a factor.
Native 64bit code may also execute faster in certain scenarios but that's often more difficult to quantify.
Also... we currently can access above the standard 32bit memory limit as shown here:

Although not the same as a native 64bit application, it certainly may help those processes that could use the addtional memory.
