I'm not sure it exists, and I do realize there are good diagrams in the Help File...but having a session on this topic would be beneficial...or maybe a one-stop PDF on the subject, as right now it's all over the place in the Help File.
Am I the only one who needs this? What say you?
YES
I have never succeeded making a stair with the 'new' stair tool.

I've done a few and with pan stairs or a monolithic concrete stair and steel stairs they worked well. The 2d Graphic wasn't perfect but everything worked well and helped me create real elevations and Sections. I develop my drawings pretty close to 1/2" scaled details and they look good and comparible to hand drawings.

It's not a particularly difficult tool to use, inputting your parameters etc.
The main drawback is that it does not do round/spiral stairs or half turn stairs, making it basically pretty useless for the mainly residential stuff that i work on. I tend to use it to get standard tread heights, then drop the stair and adapt manually to suit my half turns etc. This of course loses any extraction symbology from it. It is quite frustrating.
A few years ago structural Triforma had a good stair tool, it even included handrails(same limitations on stair types though) however that disappeared a few years ago.
