Centerline Definition of Part not working.

Two Issues:  See the attached.  ther Brown Rectagles and an "X".

ONE:

The section is a wt of 3.  If I toggle on the Centerline the Section takes the Part symbology of the centerline at 0.

TWO:

The Width to wall and Scale do not work.  This has worked before but still does not here.

This is what I have when centerline is on :

This is what I get when Centerline is off (correct wt on Section ) and what I drew in 2d is what I need. (On Right)

I have noticed that one insul might scale and the other might not.  Is it jsut a setting in the linestyle?  I have scal checked on.  The Original "C" is 1SU x 1SU and the length is good in this section just not the width.

  • OK Closer but I think I hit the limit.

    1.

On an Shape that your centerline must go two differnt directions - one must be a slab for Hoizontal centerline and one must fe a wall for vertical.

    2.

HERE I WISH WE COULD CHANGE THE ORIENTATION OF THE CENTERLINE OR MAKE THE PARTS SMARTER WITH A ANGLE FOR THE CENTERLINE.

    3.

I STILL NEED A WAY TO CONTROL THE END AND BEGINNING OF A LINE.

    3.a

MAY CHANGE THE "BLUE" REBAR TO A SINGULAR LINE - OR USE W.W.M. WHICH WOULD BE A DASHED LINE.  BUT I NEED TO START AND STOP THE ENDS 4" FROM EDGE.

    4.

The blocking has a centerline.  Works great on all 2x (1 1/2") blocking.

    5.

Since centerline goes top to botton I had to rotate the peices.

THIS IS WHEN TOP AND BOTTOM AND MODIFYING LENTH, WIDTH, HEGHT SHOULD DISAPPEAR AND JUST BE AN "EXTEND SIDE"  PICK A SIDE ANY SIDE.  hANDLES KINDA DO THIS.

    6.

Then the CANT will not show a Centerline.  It should and I don't know why.  I have stretch and partial on and also tried every combination and it never made a difference.  Are we tied to only retiliniear shapes?

THIS BEGS A QUESTION.  WHY DO WE NEED CONCRETE SLABS IN 10 DIFFERENT HEIGHTS FOR PARTS.

    WHY NOT ONE PART

    ONE DEFINITION AND CONE COST

COSTS THAT LOOK AT THE WIDTH AND APPLY A RULE FOR ESIMATED COST OR A DIFFERNT VALUE BY THICKNESS.

THEN A PART DEFINITION THAT ALLOWS RULES.  IF 4" REBAR HERE, IF 6" HERE, ETC.

THEN WE HAVE ONE PART THAT IS SMART

AND WHEN WE PLACE A WALL IT KNOWS IT'S A WALL BUT THEN THOUGH MANIPULATION IT SHOULD LOSE THAT THOUGHT.   SO IF I CHOSE TO lean TWO WALLS 45 DEGREES TOWARD EACH OTHER I CAN JOIN TWO SIDES WHERE I CURRENTLY CANNOT JOIN TWO TOPS.

  • I did find that the Custom Line I created that combined a line and points.  Well the line of JUST dashes follows the width command where previously the points did also.  Again, is it maybe a setting on the points?

First picture has width off and 2nd is width on.

  • Bumping this back for help.

Right now when I create the centerline "ON I lost the whole section to the seight of the centerline.

    And

The Centerline Width does not change.
