AECOsim Drawing Model Opaque Fill

Hi,

I tried drawing a opaque fill (eg. -500 priority) under a elevation Drawing Model (eg. 0 priority). However, the elevation Drawing Model seems to come with a white fill that does not recognise priority but only recognise the references sequence.

Is there a way around this?

  • Tzeh,

Have you tried adjusting the Reference Sequence?  Since a drawing model is 2D the filled shape you drew is coplanar with the drawing model.  I believe that priority only prioritizes within geometry within the same DGN file.  You can change the sequence from the Reference Dialog via the Settings (pull-down menu) > Update Sequence.

    I hope this helps,

  • Hi Travis,

    Thank you for the suggestion.

I did try changing the reference sequence. However, as the Drawing Model is effectively lines with opaque background fill, it can only be either totally above or below my detailed 2D drawings, ie anything I want to appear below the drawing model like colour fill will be hidden by the Drawing Model.

I was actually trying to add colour fill to the back of window elevations on Drawing Model for Planning Application drawings.

Don't really know what to do except using Transparency on colour fill drawn above the Drawing Model.

Is this something Bentley can look for future BD updates?

    Thanks
