Hi,
Whenever I cut a new Dynamic View the levels highlighted below appear in the file:
I cannot delete these levels even though they appear to be unused (they initially delete only to reappear when the file is reopened). I've tried key-in: Level-Usage "Level name", but this simpy confirms they're not used in the file. They have no library assignment, so I believe they must be local.
They've a fairly random set of names but so far I've been unable to locate them anywhere within the dataset.
Can anyone advise why they're appearing with my DV's, and whether there is any way to stop this and delete them.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark
I also have those levels appearing. With my Swedish dataset!
I can delete them - but they are back next time I open the file.

I've found A-DEMO in the swedish dataset in part "Grass".
But I is not in our dataset, and still those levels are created.
Thanks Andreas,
It's good to hear that its not just our setup. No sign of A-DEMO in our part "Grass" though.
My first thought was that the levels might be assigned to Parts Cut or F&R display styles. Hence why they would only be created when a DV was used. Good theory but I can't find the levels anywhere in our Parts Library! My only other idea was that it might be the levels in pattern cells used by Part Cut views, but so far I've not found them.
Same thing happens with US dataset too, so it seems a consistent problem with the DV creation - Given its across all these datasets perhaps its nothing to do with Parts Library, I just can't think of anything else which is so entirely linked to DV creation.
I'll file a Service Ticket and hopefully someone at Bentley will be able to explain.
I have up to 200 English levels from different disciplines in most of my files. Also 3d models and what you call sheets.
Seems older dgns have less.
Can delete - but they come back with next open.
It would be useful to know what is scanned for levels besides parts and pattern cells.
Based on the level names listed,
AecoSim is probably also scanning Settings_FFE.xml used for "frame builder"
and possibly levels used for origin/plan symbols in compound cells.
These are just a guess on my part.
HTHs,
Tom
